The Russian House in Dhaka hosted a formal ceremony on Wednesday to present passports and visas to Bangladeshi students admitted to Russian universities through the educational quota provided by the Russian Federation.
P. Dvoychenkov, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, addressed the students, wishing them success in their academic endeavors in Russia. He expressed hope that these students would return to Bangladesh as skilled professionals, making significant contributions to their country’s development.
In his remarks, Dvoychenkov praised Russia's reputation for excellence in training experts across various fields, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, engineering, programming, and medicine. He highlighted the country’s diverse higher education system, which includes over 750 universities offering more than 650 specialties.
Dvoychenkov also noted Russia's rich cultural and ethnic diversity, blending Asian and European elements, and assured students of a welcoming environment that would facilitate their adjustment to student life in Russia.
The students, in turn, expressed their gratitude through heartfelt speeches, thanking the Director and reaffirming their commitment to return to Bangladesh after completing their studies to contribute to national growth.
The ceremony concluded with a screening of the film "Freedom of Conscience and Religion," which emphasizes the importance of religious diversity and peaceful coexistence. Other films were shown as well, creating a warm and congenial atmosphere throughout the event.
